Having a very playful morning

Ultimate relaxation

We had a great weekend. Nelson grilled out for my birthday and it turned out to be a beautiful day. Andrew enjoyed being outside and almost missed the whole event by sleeping through it.

2 months old

My first time in my exersaucer....I LOVE IT

Nana and Andrew
Dad puts Andrew to sleep
This is what goes on in the middle of the night, everyone getting sleep but me, ha

Andrew is now 2 months old....how time flies. We are enjoying watching his progress. In the last day he has shown lots of interest in his toys (including his hands). He is smiling and talking a lot too.

A Beautiful Weekend

We had a beautiful weekend here. Andrew enjoyed the outdoors yesterday with a walk and and then sitting in the backyard while we BBQ'd. He also enjoys sleeping outside.....wonder if that is an option in the middle of the night;)

May 11th, the first day I smiled:)
Lady...would you please quit with the camera
I'm not sure I like being squished in this chair
Nana reads me a book!
I eat and eat, but always want more

It has been awhile since the last post. Mom arrived in town on Monday evening to keep Andrew until he starts at his new daycare on June 1st. Thank goodness for a wonderful mom that is willing to drive over 17 hours to help us out. She couldn't believe how much Andrew has grown since the last time she was here.

Andrew is now:

Smiling
Cooing
Talking
Being cute most of the time:)

Andrew before his first day of daycare Tummy Time!

I sure do love my bath!

Yesterday was Andrew's first day of daycare, you can see in the picture he wasn't nervous in the least, like his mom. Let's just say things didn't go so well and we are in the process of looking for another childcare option. We pulled him out of the daycare he was at, only five hours there and it was five hours too long. Hopefully we will find something....things are in the works but until then I am on vacation from work.

Andrew is growing and growing. He is also sleeping better, much to our relief. He still eats every 2 1/2 to three hours but he does sleep pretty good in between. Tonight we are trying again to see if he will sleep in the crib in his room, cross your fingers.

It has been a little while since the last post.....things have been rather crazy here. Why is it when you think you have things figured out a new problem arises???? We have been having sleep issues with Andrew. Finally yesterday we found that the bouncy chair works really well and who really cares if that is where he sleeps, as long as he sleeps. Where did the term sleep like a baby come from anyway? I sure wouldn't want to sleep like Andrew, who wiggles and wakes himself up every fifteen minutes are so. I keep telling myself that this is a phase and will pass...the only way to get through the crying yesterday. For two days he wouldn't take a pacifier.....then today.....he did...thank goodness!!

It is going to be a rough week, the start of daycare on Wednesday.....can I just say BOO HOO!

May is finally here!

Lily is very interested in bathtime! On Sunday we visited Katie, Rich and Libby. Libby has gotten so big and is so adorable. She was very interested in Andrew.

I'm so cute! and I'm getting so big.

All our company is gone now and it is hard to believe that we are on our own now. We have had two nights and days together now...yesterday was pretty rough with only a few hours sleep. What happened to those days from vet school that I would go for days without sleep....can't function like that anymore. I just put Andrew down for a nap and wouldn't you know that he went right down in his pack and play. For the last two nights it has been rough switching between sleeping in the bouncy chair, pack and play, crib and on us. Hopefully we will get through this sleeping rough patch.

4 Weeks Already!

Little Bulldog!

What a great week it has been with Andrew. He is so alert now...well...for a few hours of the day anyway. He loves to look out the window and watch the sun come up (and his mommy even enjoys it too).
Nana Olivier took night duty this week and we will miss her help greatly. Andrew loved her singing to him. Hmmm....guess I need to get my songs ready as he will be expecting them. Glad no one will be here to hear them but Andrew, ha.
He is growing like a weed, check out those chubby cheeks! Can't wait to see the first smile (that is, one that is not related to you know what).

A Fun Weekend

What a weekend we had. On Saturday we made a big outing to Reiman Gardens. Nelson's parents were able to enjoy them more than us because Andrew seemed to want to eat the entire time we were there and then spit it up and then eat again. It was a beautiful day but very windy so we were only outside for a little while with Andrew. Papa Olivier left on Sunday and it was sad....hopefully we will be seeing him again soon, maybe even this summer.
I am done with my final exam so hopefully I will be able to keep up better with posting to the blog.

Andrew Sleeping

Growing Strong...

Andrew seems to develop right before our eyes....he is now gaining strength in his neck and loved tummy time this morning. How many toys does a newborn need? I went to Kmart yesterday and had to buy more developmental toys. He now has a crib mirror and seems to enjoy looking at himself. I also bought a toy that projects shapes on the ceiling in addition to playing music. The nature sounds were very nice and reminds me of camp. I could fall asleep to the constant frog and bug sounds.

3 weeks!

Andrew is now three weeks old. He has accomplished a lot in just this short time. He has powerful head movements, powerful formula hurling and grunting ability, and he is finding his voice. He loves the sound of voices and watching the sunrise.
